How It All Started
From the spark of an idea to the realization of a dream, the journey of Layman Coffee started with the desire to spark a passion for coffee in those around us.
Our Story
Every great journey begins with a story. Ours is no different. Our goal is to help Singaporeans develop life skills using coffee as a medium.
We strongly believe that learning about brewing coffee is not only about the creation of a delicious beverage. It should be about inculcating the soft skills and values to help you grow in other areas in life. Imagine a café cashier who nailed his next job interview after learning how to speak to customers, or a former barista now corporate worker is better able to work with cross-functional teams.
Idealistic? Maybe. But that’s the future we envision, and coffee is the medium to get us there.
Our Approach
The Layman Coffee Academy always do our best to teach and educate everybody about coffee, in layman terms. Our vision is to simplify concepts into easy and bite-sized pieces, so that you can focus on having fun and focus on the more important things in life!
